YTSummaries.com is a YouTube video summarizer tool. When you use our service, we process:

• YouTube video URLs you submit for summarization
• Video transcripts and AI-generated summaries (processed in memory, not stored permanently)
• Basic usage data (what features are used, session duration)
• Your IP address and browser information (standard server logs)

AI Processing

Video summaries are generated using OpenAI's API. Your video URLs and transcripts are sent to OpenAI for processing. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies for:

• Session management (dark mode preference, UI settings)
• Analytics (anonymous usage statistics)

Data Retention

AI-generated summaries are not permanently stored on our servers. Cached video data (thumbnails, metadata) may persist for up to 30 days. Server logs are retained for security purposes and automatically expire.

We use the following third-party services:

• YouTube/Google - Video metadata (their privacy policy)
